Welcome to Alta Vida at Casa Ramé in Pineapple Hill, Rincón — an airy loft-style apartment ideal for couples, remote workers, and surfers looking for a relaxed west coast escape. Enjoy 15-foot ceilings, scenic hillside views with a peek of the ocean, A/C, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable King bed setup. Calm setting, quick drive (5-10 min) to town and beaches. Steps Beach is reachable via a scenic ~30-min hike (hard). Street parking is available.
Good to know
Please be mindful that a 20 step staircase, originating at street level, leads to the apt main entrance; Lock box entry. You will notice that a connecting door in the hallway connects our side of the apt with the side we share. It remains locked at all times. You will have full access to your side of our home. At this time, only street parking is available. There is a reserved spot by the stairs that lead to your apt. If the reserved spot is not suitable to you, there is an extra parking area walking distance from the apt (1 min walk). Street parking may require a bit of adjustment depending on your tolerance level and expectations. However, the peaceful experience in the 15ft ceiling loft, overlooking the mountainside and ocean, is well worth it. My partner and I live downstairs part-time in a separate apartment, but we are not usually on the property during guest stays. A connecting door in the hallway connects both units and remains locked at all times. Occasionally, you may see staff members or other guests in the patio. To provide clarity on our amenities, here are a few key features to know before your stay at Casa Ramé: 1. Drinkable Tap Water! 💧 We’ve installed two Aquasana filtration systems. One filters all the water entering the apartment. The second is under the kitchen sink with its own dedicated faucet, providing clean, filtered water that's safe for drinking—an amazing convenience, especially in Rincón. 2. Hot Showers Even During Power Outages—Just Let Us Know) 🚿 The shower is connected to an on-demand gas water heater, which provides hot water. The system can also work during power outages using backup batteries. For safety and maintenance reasons, we don’t keep the batteries installed—but if there’s a power outage during your stay, just let us know and we’ll be happy to pop in the double-D batteries so you can still enjoy a hot shower. 3. No Power Generator (Island Moments) ⚡ Casa Ramé does not have a generator. Power outages can occasionally happen, typically lasting a few hours. On those rare nights, we invite you to light a candle, listen to the coquí frogs, and enjoy the stillness of the evening. It's a beautiful reminder to slow down and soak in the essence of island life. 4. Cold Water at Bathroom & Kitchen Sinks 🚰 The bathroom and kitchen sinks only have cold water, which is typical for homes in Puerto Rico and part of the local living experience. 5. Note on Septic System 🚽 To protect our sensitive septic system, please flush only human waste. Do not flush toilet paper, wipes, feminine products, or any other items. Please dispose of these in the bathroom bin provided (this is common in many homes in Puerto Rico).

The neighborhood is a very friendly, rural one. You may also notice many people cruising by our residential street as the views are breath taking, the houses are beautiful, and both ends of the street lead to the famous road 413 (aka. Road to Happiness).
